
Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, has made shocking accusations, claiming to know someone who was scammed by Deputy President William Ruto.
Gold business in Kenya is now being tainted as a scam, with the Dubai royal family reportedly losing millions of dollars among other claims by several individuals.
He made the claims through his Twitter handle, which is unverified and Kurunzi cannot independently confirm as being handled by the first-time legislator.

After the emergence of allegations by the Dubai Royal family paying millions of dollars paid to Kenyan businessmen and alleged big-name politicians in Kenya, now struggling to refute claims of their involvement.
The matter has become substance of great political fodder, with many a politician, including DP Ruto and his “Tanga Tanga” brigade capitalizing on the reports to drag ODM leader Raila Odinga’s name into the saga.
DP Ruto, speaking on Saturday, said time had caught up with politicians who had opted to masquerade as gold traders.
“After accusing the Jubilee government of stealing Eurobond money, these people became conmen by selling fake gold, ” claimed the DP.
Legislators Samson Cherargei and Kimani Ngunjiri, among others allied to Ruto say those involved must pay back the money they received from the Dubai Royals, while their ODM counterparts including Gladys Wanga wondered why Ruto-allied politicians were attempting to do the work of investigative agencies.
Maina Kamanda, the nominated MP allied to team “Kieleweke”, led his brigade in warning Ruto against attempts to defend President Uhuru Kenyatta over the matter, saying they knew what he stood for.
“We know you and what you stand for. You are one known to defend corruption and it’s known perpetrators so you have no business trying to defend the president because he does not need your defense,” Kamanda said.
And now Babu Owino’s remarks now open another level of political barbs trading as the matter reportedly borders on becoming a subject of a diplomatic tiff between. Kenya and the United Arab Emirates.
