
The groundbreaking event is slated to start on 1 and 10 July with the team looking to clinch the title of African Giants and improve their regional standing.
Currently seated as the third best team in Africa, the Kenyan Para Volleyball team is training at the Kasarani Indoor Gymnasium from Monday to Saturday.
Both the men and women teams were selected from 24 to 27 April in an event that was held at the Nyayo Indoor Gymnasium.
From the selection, both team have 30 players each but will be trimmed down to 14 players each as per World Para Volleyball guidelines.
The final team will then go into training camp for one month to further enhance the chemistry between players.
The technical team includes five coaches, three referees and a team of medical professionals and the number is set to increase as they head into the tournament.
As the preparations are intensifying, the Sitting Volleyball Federation is confident that both teams will clinch the continental championship and secure a slot at the World Championship.
