FKF Premier League leaders Gor Mahia will be in action on Saturday afternoon against Ulinzi Stars at Nyayo Stadium.
Six matches have been scheduled to be played on Saturday across different venues in the country while three other fixtures will be played on Sunday.
In the last five matches this season, Ulinzi have won just once, which is the opposite of their opponent for the day who have dropped points in only one match.
K’Ogalo has had the upper hand-picking eight wins, and seven draws, while Ulinzi have picked only two wins in the 17 league matches played in that time.
Gor Mahia’s currently lead the log with 33 points after 14 rounds and a game in hand, while the Army men come to this game positioned seventh having accumulated 24 points from 15 games.
A win for Gor will be a timely birthday gift for the club which marks its 55th anniversary on Friday.
Nzoia Sugar, who are second on 31 points from 15 matches, can go top if Gor drops points against Ulinzi and on their side win against Posta Rangers.
In other fixtures, Nzoia Sugar welcomes Posta Rangers at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma as AFC Leopards host Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
Defending champions Tusker host a rejuvenated Mathare United, who won their third match of the season after beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 in the Slum Derby on Thursday.
Tusker are sixth on 25 points after 14 encounters, the same as AFC Leopards who have a superior goal difference and have played 15 games.
Ingwe head to the match against Sharks on a high note having thrashed FC Talanta 6-0 last time out.
Kenya Police, who have been on fine form having been unbeaten in the last four matches, host cash-strapped FC Talanta at Kasarani Annex.
