
Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) pacesetters Nzoia Sugar on Wednesday afternoon rallied from behind to beat hosts Kariobangi Sharks 3-1 at Utalii Sports Ground, Nairobi.
Kariobangi Sharks took an early lead through Keith Imbali’s seventh-minute strike, a lead that would last until the breather.
Joseph Mwangi levelled for the Millers in the 60th minute before bagging his brace teo minutes later.
Sharks’ Timothy Ekhavi scored in his own net with 15 minutes to go to ensure that Salim Babu’s side walked home with maximum points.
The win was Nzoia’s ninth of the season and extend their lead in the 18-team league to 31 points, four above second-placed Police.
In another fixture of the day, a brace from second-half substitute Alvin Mang’eni ensured Kenya Police emerged 2–1 victors over Nairobi City Stars at the Kasarani Annex grounds on Wednesday afternoon.
Courtesy of the win Kenya Police moves into second place on the table, with City Stars falling to their third straight defeat.
City Stars are now without a win in three successive matches and sit 15th with 11 points.
