Red hot Ogam secure victory for Tusker against K’Ogalo

Tusker FC once again reaped returns from the investment made in Ryan Ogam who was on target as the Brewers downed defending champions Gor Mahia 2-1 in a top of the table clash played at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
Tusker has now moved three points clear at the helm of the FKF Premier League on 33 points after 17 rounds.
Ogam, obtained from Rainbow FC, delivered a sensational performance, netting twice, including a stoppage-time winner, to take his season tally to 15 goals in 13 starts.
The match began with both teams adopting a cautious approach, resulting in a stalemate draw at the break.
Ogam gave the brewers the lead in the 50th minute before Austin Odhiambo levelled with a well taken free-kick in the 69th minute. Ogam rose highest to head home an inch-perfect cross from Dennis Wanjala four minutes into the extra time to hand the Brewers their 10th win of the season.
In the early kick off match Nairobi City Stars held KCB to a 1-1 draw.
In Mombasa, Shabana led, but failed to hold on as Bandari rallied to rescue a point after a 1-1 draw at Mbaraki Sports Complex as Kenya Police narrowly edged out Muranga SEAL 1-0.
Ulinzi Stars moved to 10th in the standings after picking their third consecutive FKF Premier League win on Saturday when they saw off Kariobangi Sharks 1-0 at Dandora Stadium.
Riding on their last two wins against Mara Sugar (1-0) and Nairobi City Stars (2-1), the soldiers sealed maximum points courtesy of Javan Omondi’s 79th-minute strike.
Victory lifted Ulinzi to 10th place on the table with 22 points while Sharks’ winless streak of six games saw them drop to 14th with 19 points.
In Migori County, Mara Sugar thrashed former champions Mathare United 3-0 at the Awendo Green Stadium.
