On Thursday, three senior managers from the BrownCheese Company Limited in Limuru were detained after forcing female employees to undress after used sanitary pad found in bin.
In the horrifying event, a manager is alleged to have ordered female employees to strip naked because he wanted to find out who had put a sanitary pads in the wrong trash.
The plant’s quality assurance manager, human resource manager, and HR assistant were all detained. On Friday, they will show up in court.
Several female colleagues were made to strip off in the frightening incident on Tuesday after a dirty sanitary towel was discovered in the incorrect disposal bin.
This wasn’t the first time a top manager compelled female employees to remove their clothes, according to investigations by the Gender section at the Tigoni police station.
Senator Gloria Orwoba, who made the issue public in the first place, claims that on Monday night she received a panic call about it.
Orwoba said on her social media accounts, “I got a report regarding an occurrence at Brown Cheese Company in Limuru where the Quality Assurance Manager had found a sanitary towel put in the wrong bin.
The manager allegedly ordered all the team’s female members to strip down so she could determine who was menstruating and punish those individuals for tossing the towel in the trash can.
She continued by saying that despite her involvement, things had gotten worse. “It is sad that the situation at Brownscheese Company in Limuru has worsened despite my office’s assistance this morning.”For the benefit of all stakeholders, all institutions should intend to implement the MHM Policy in Kenya,” she said.
